Personnel Department
|
|
The primary goal of the Personnel
Department is to attract, hire, and retain qualified employees to carry out the City's business.
Personnel provides recruitment and testing services, and administers
salary and job classification plans, employee benefits programs,
personnel rules and policies, and the City's self-funded vision and dental plans.
The department also oversees the Equal Opportunity Program, Training, and Risk
Management divisions to ensure the City's workforce is culturally diverse and
responsive to the changing needs of the community; that employees are provided
training to enhance and improve their skills and productivity; and to see that
employees and citizens are provided environments where the risks of injury and
loss of property are minimized.
