 Hazardous Material Team


"We Care"

The Modesto Fire Department (MFD) works with the surrounding fire agencies and the Stanislaus County Department of Environmental Resources to provide a hazardous materials responseHazardous Material Training team.  All MFD members of this team are certified at the Hazardous Materials Specialist level. The Training Division arranges for this training by bringing in qualified instructors to the Regional Fire Training Center or by sending the members to off site classes as needed.  All other companies are trained to the hazardous Material First Responder level.  This training is provided through the Training Division and instruction given by the members of the Haz Mat team.  The City of Modesto's Haz Mat team is housed at Station #4.
