Located 30 minutes east of Modesto, Modesto Reservoir boasts 31 miles of shoreline and a 2,800 acre surface. This reservoir is ideal for boating, fishing, water-skiing and camping.
Stanislaus River Parks
Located 30 minutes east of Modesto. Includes a visitors center and the longest covered bridge in the West. Fishing, gold panning, river rafting and swimming are popular activities here.
Woodward Reservoir Regional Park
Located 40 minutes northeast of Modesto, this reservoir has over 3,800 acres and many quiet coves for swimming and fishing. Visitors also enjoy wind- surfing, water-skiing, boating and camping.Don Pedro Lake
Located 45 minutes east of Modesto, Don Pedro Lake covers 13,000 acres and is popular for fishing, boating, water-skiing and swimming. Camping and picnic grounds are available.
La Grange Regional Park
Located 45 minutes east of Modesto and encompasses 470 acres. Ideal for hiking fishing, camping and swimming. A museum is also located in the park.
